We carefully screen prospective tenants with an extensive application process that provides accurate credit checks and criminal history background reports for prospective tenants.  We collect rents, pay utilities and/or contractors on your behalf, properly maintain your properties and pay your earnings to you in a timely manner. We communicate thoroughly and keep our owners informed of their property related activities and needs. Not only is our staff easily accessible for you, but all of our owners have 24/7, unlimited access to our online management system that provides the ability for you to view all of your property related activity such as transactions, work orders, reports and tax documents. We offer all of our prospective owners the ability to customize a service package to suit your needs and your budget! Our services packages range from full service property management allowing owners the freedom to be 100% hands off, into simply advertising your available properties and screening tenants for owners who enjoy self-managing their own properties. Prospective Tenants


Prospective tenants searching for your next keys to the place you wish to call home; we have a large roster of homes and apartments within an approximate 50 mile radius of Shippensburg, PA where our office is located. We currently manage properties as far north as Mount Holly Springs, PA to as far south as Thurmont, MD. Our online application process expedites the approval process providing you the opportunity to get those next keys, sooner! We offer an easy to use, online portal for all tenants to pay rent and utilities, pay for and purchase personal liability and renters insurance, request repairs and facilitate work orders, and have direct contact with our team. We strive for our tenants to have a seamless and enjoyable residency with us under our management care. We understand “things happen” that can cause our tenants to be inconvenienced, so at NexKey Rentals; we offer our tenants a 24-hour emergency line contact number for emergency services relating to your rental property that occur outside of our open office hours.   • How Do I Pay My Rent?

    Log into your online portal to pay your rent. If you are not yet registered, please create an account here!

  • How Do I Report A Repair Needed In My Unit?

    Please submit a maintenance request through the tenant portal

    1. From the Home or Maintenance tab, click Request Maintenance.
    2. Enter a detailed description of the issue, upload one or more photos of the item needing attention, give the property manager permission to enter with their key, then click Submit Request.

  • What Are Your Showing Requirements?

    Effective January 1, 2024 - Our showings policies are changing and will now be as follows:


    Prior to scheduling a showing, prospects must submit an application online. The application will require a form of identification and the last 30 days of income (proof of), such as two most recent pay stubs, new hire letter, social security or disability deposits into your bank account, ect. All bank statements submitted must show your full name to match the form of idenification you are submitting. 


    *All adults aged 18 and older that will be residing within the home, must apply. *


    Once all of the required documentation has been received, the background check and credit screening will be completed. We will call your references references and obtain verifications from your current and previous landlords. 


    If your application qualifies; we will contact you directly to schedule a showing. If your application does not qualify; you will be notified via email with the reasoning for the denial. 

  • Are Pets Allowed?

    PET POLICIES VARY BY OWNER & PROPERTY!!!


    Most of our properties do not allow pets. However; if the owners are willing to allow pets, there will be additional fees. 


    If you are a current tenant, you MUST obtain permission prior to having a pet in your unit. Your pet must be approved prior. Having a pet without permission is a lease violation and will results in fines or possible eviction.

  • How Much Are You Application Fees?

    Application fees are $50.00 for each applicant. This includes the criminal background check and credit score screening. Each individual ages 18 and over must complete a rental application. 

  • How Much Is The Security Deposit?

    Security deposits will vary based on the property. Normally, the security deposit is equivalent to one month's rent, at a minimum.


    Additional security deposits may be required based on the property owner, permitted pets and the results of prospective tenant's applications.

  • Do You Have Credit Score Requirements?

    YES - The minimum credit score required without an additional security deposit or co-signer is 650+. 


    If a prospective tenant's credit score is between a 600 - 650, an additional security deposit and/or a co-signer is required. 


    Any applicant with an credit score of 599 or less will not be approved.
